Stakes
Canvus's stadium partnership with the Bengals needed a season-opening entrance sequence built for the hardest screen in the building: a jumbotron facing 65,000 people who've been standing in a parking lot tailgating since noon. It had to land in the three seconds between the tunnel and kickoff, at a resolution and scale most motion work never gets tested against.
The build
I built the sequence in C4D and Redshift at native jumbotron resolution from the start, rather than upscaling a broadcast cut after the fact — the geometry and lighting had to hold up at that size or the whole thing would read soft under stadium lights. A companion :30 broadcast open and a looping LED ribbon-board cut came out of the same asset library, so the sponsor's brand mark stays consistent across every screen in the building, not just the big one.
Release
The package debuted to a 65,515-seat sellout and ran on the national broadcast feed. The Bengals' own social team clipped and posted the entrance sequence the same night — it wasn't part of the deliverable list, they just wanted it out.
“It had to work at jumbotron scale and hold up on a phone the same night. It did both.”
