Stakes
Wild-card weekend, and Bleacher Report needed a piece that could carry their NFL playoff coverage across every feed at once — something built to stop a scroll mid-swipe, not just fill a slot on the content calendar. The brief was blunt: no highlight-reel filler, no stock crowd-noise energy. It had to feel like the moment actually mattered.
The build
I built the film around a single idea — the ball as the through-line — rendered in C4D and lit in Redshift to hold detail at full-bleed on a phone screen. Nine days from brief to delivery, working directly off Bleacher Report's creative notes with no handoffs in between. The hero cut runs :60; three platform-specific cutdowns pull the sharpest beats down to :15 and :30 for feed placement, each exported vertical and square so nothing gets center-cropped on the way out.
Release
It shipped ahead of wild-card kickoff and outperformed Bleacher Report's own benchmark share rate by 3×, with 2.1M views inside the first cycle. The team asked for the same treatment going into the divisional round.
“We handed off a stat sheet and a deadline. What came back looked like a movie trailer.”
