01

The problem

Sorinex builds strength equipment in Lexington, South Carolina — racks that teams and facilities buy as a system, in their own colours, with the accessories that fit their programme. Renders of every combination were never going to keep up. A buyer needs to see the rack they are actually configuring, from the angle they choose.

02

What was built

Live 3D of the real rack geometry in the browser, on the same CAD models the customizer uses. The racks a visitor can orbit on /3d are the client's own exports, decimated and Draco-compressed until a file that was hundreds of megabytes loads in a blink. On the same models, a team-colorway customizer in progress: zone colorways, logos, and facility names on the nameplates.

How it renders

Every rack goes through one pipeline. The CAD export is cleaned of part numbers, its materials are normalised into a handful of finishes, the mesh is decimated to what a screen can resolve, and the result is Draco-compressed and lazy-loaded. React Three Fiber lights it like a product shot — a warm key, a cool fill, a gold rim, image-based reflections — and the visitor drives the camera.

What's next

An interactive rack configurator: browse the line, attach accessories in 3D, and arrive at a buildable configuration, with the colorway customizer folded in — one build, one spec, handed to the people who take the order.
